Specifications Overview

The purpose of this document is to act as a guide to the range of advertising opportunities available on CNN International.com.

Our specification requirements are designed to embrace the best of the internet and its unique creative possibilities, while ensuring that all advertising complements our users' experience when visiting the world’s leading news site.

By striving to continually improve the CNN user experience, we offer a greater opportunity for your brand and message to be well received.

When reviewing our requirements we ask that you pay particular attention to the following:

  • Animation cannot continue past 30 seconds.
  • Frame rate must be no more than 18fps.
  • Expanding adverts must be user-initiated by mouse over or click.
  • Flash clickTag must be correctly coded.
  • All creative is required for testing 3 days in advance.
